10 MINUTE MEDITATION VIDEOS: Relaxing Winter Meditation Music with FAIRIES, MERMAIDS and ELVES. Relax and unwind to the calming sound of delightful music as this video transports you to a winter wonderland of magical creatures. This video is for those of you who are just getting started with a meditation practice or for those of you who need to cut your practice short today.
MEDITATION CHALLENGE!
If you have not yet gotten into the habit of meditating daily, I challenge you to watch this video at LEAST five times this week. Sit in a comfortable position (or lie down), close your eyes and focus on taking DEEP BREATHS for the entirety of this video. Don't try to solve problems at this time, think of ideas or plans, ect. Just breathe. If you have a hard time keeping your mind clear, then repeat the word "breathe" to yourself whenever you start to obsess over a thought.
PLEASE NOTE: When meditating, you want your thoughts to roll by you like a breeze or a butterfly that is fluttering past you. It is okay (and normal when starting) to have thoughts come up, but it is important to let them flow through you and not consume you. The purpose of meditation is to let your mind rest. Breathe. Just breathe. ♥
Personally, I make it a point to meditate each day for at least 10-20 minutes. Why's that? Because my brain is constantly working hard all day everyday! It doesn't get "days off," therefore it is important for me to schedule in rest time for it. Since starting my meditation practice, I've found that my mood has improved, I am more equipped to solve problems, have increased focus AND am much more creative than before meditating regularly.
Meditation is NOT a religion-specific practice. It is for everyone, regardless of your beliefs, background, ect.

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO MEDITATE:
Some people prefer to meditate as soon as they wake up. Some like to do it before bed. Personally? I like to meditate after lunch. Why's that? Well... if I meditate before bed, I usually wake up an hour or two later wondering what happened. Hahaha! I workout first thing in the morning too, so that time does not work for me. The MAIN REASON I meditate right after lunch is because eating lunch is something I do most every day.... and I have been able to mentally train myself (through repetition) that "after I eat lunch, I need to meditate." This is called "Habit Stacking." It's basically where you take a habit that you already have and build a new habit onto it. I suggest you do this with your meditation practice too... although it doesn't need to be after lunch. Pick whatever time works best for you!
