Cleaning my Silicone Mermaid Tail- Aside from the process of slipping into your tail, one of the scariest things about owning a silicone mermaid tail is having to clean it! If you don't take good care of your tail, you will risk trapping moisture (and nasty dirty stuff) inside of your tail, which can produce mold. This mold can wear away at your tail, cause rashes on your skin, and let's face it... it's just plain gross! In addition to worrying about the growth of mold on your tail, the owner of a silicone mermaid tail has to be extra careful about not exposing their lovely mer-suit to chemicals or substances that may harm it, as silicone tends to be a very reactive material.

This all sounds scary, huh? But should you let all of those worries about taking care of your mertail keep you from buying one? I don't think so! Here's a little pep-talk-ish video for all of you mermaids out there hoping to buy your first realistic "professional" tail.
